Hai my beloved friends ! Today I will tell you about very cute cat like this !
Have you ever seen this cat?Oww.. very cute isn’t it? X)
The name of this cat is :
Selkirk Rex
Selkirk Rex History
This new curly breed was first discovered in the USA in 1987.  A worker in an animal shelter noticed a cat with a   unique curly coat and gave her to a Persian breeder named Jeri Newman.  That cat named Miss DePesto was bred to a Persian and her first litter contained 3 straight coated kittens and 3 kittens with this unique soft curly coat.  The curly kittens were bred to Persian, British and Exotics to develop the Selkirk Rex lines.
Selkirk Rex Appearance
Due to the unique genetics of this breed straight haired kittens do turn up in litters. The straight haired kittens are similar to British Shorthairs.
The Selkirk Rex come in all colours and patterns in both long and shorthair varieties.
Their coats are easy to groom as the curls are separate strands that rarely knot. They are large cats with a full curly coat, special care has been taken with this breed to  develop a healthy cat with a wonderful well rounded personality, they really love people.
The Selkirk Rex is a recognised breed by Australian Cat Associations. The first Selkirk Rex was imported into Australia in 1999 and the first litter born in Australia was 13 November 2000.
Selkirk Rex Personality
One first may be attracted to the Selkirk’s cute, curly exterior, but these cats also make champion companions.
They are curious, tolerant, extremely sociable cats that enjoy spending time with their preferred persons. People-oriented without being clingy, Selkirks have a generous measure of love and loyalty for their human companions. Selkirks fit in well with other family members including children, and usually get along well with other companion animals. Because they are very social, they don’t do well in isolation or when left alone for long periods.

Selkirks are fun-loving cats that stay playful and kittenish well into adulthood. They enjoy a good game of fetch and particularly enjoy games in which their guardians take active roles. Laser lights, feather toys, catnip mice and even a wad of paper can keep them entertained for hours.
Among the endearing qualities of the Selkirk Rex is that they are playful, tolerant, loving, cuddly, intelligent and loyal.

Noise Factor
Not usually noisy unless their food is late or they want attention. If you don't give them attention when they want it, cats will always find a way to let you know.
Interesting breed fact: The founder of the Selkirk Rex breed originally claimed that she had named the breed after the Selkirk Mountains, near where the kittens were born in Wyoming. However, when it was pointed out to her that the Selkirk Mountains were actually located in British Columbia, she admitted that she had, in fact, named the breed after her stepfather. This makes the Selkirk Rex the only cat breed today named after an individual -- not a unique distinction for a dog breed, but unique for cats.

Round, broad and full-cheeked with round underlying bone structure. The head should be set on a short thick neck. Forehead rounded, with a slightly curved top of head. The muzzle is of medium width with well-padded whisker pads giving a rectangular impression, and is clearly visible beyond the cheeks when viewed in profile. The whiskers are curly or broken.
Nose
The nose should be short, broad and straight with a downward slant. In profile the nose can appear to have a convex curve. The nose break is neither too pronounced or too shallow.
Chin
Firm and well developed. The bite must be level, the tip of the chin should line up with the tip of the nose in the same vertical plane.
Ears
Medium sized, broad at the base and may be tufted at the tips, set well apart on the broad head. Should fit into (without distorting) the rounded contour of the head. Internal furnishings, if present, are curly.
Eyes
Large, round and well-opened. Set wide apart with no tendency to Oriental shape nor squint. All eye colours allowed.
Body
Cobby type with a level back and may have a slight rise to the heavy hindquarters. The muscular torso is more rectangular than square, but not long. The body is equally broad across the shoulders and the rump, medium to large but not rangy.
Legs and paws
Legs are of medium length and substantially boned. Paws are round and firm.
Tail
Thick, medium length, thicker at the base with a rounded tip.
Coat
The coat is thick and dense, with no bare or sparsely covered areas on the body. The coat stands out from the body and should not appear flat or close-lying. It is a random, unstructured coat arranged in loose individual curls giving an overall soft and plush feel. Ideally the entire coat should show the effect of the rex gene, but curliness may be most evident on the neck, belly and tail. Allowance may be made for less curl on kittens and younger adults especially females.
Longhair: The coat is semi-long, the tail curls are plumy and stand out away from the tail. The ruff hairs are longer and frame the face.

Hai Friends! This is my new post. As usual, all-about-cat. Today is the time for Manx-cat. I think it’s a unique and adorable cat. Why? Manx-cat is tail-less.When Mother Nature saw fit to remove the tail of the Manx, she left, in place of the tail, more cat.
A Manx...
The Manx is a huggable, lovable imp with a silken purr, an almost inaudible meow and a naughty twinkle in its eye.  It spends every waking moment investigating its world.
A Manx will gravitate to the center of your home and insist upon being one of the family.  It possesses an uncanny ability to adapt itself to the psychological needs of its people.  In a home with children who have been taught gentle animal care, they are often found in the children's playroom, actively supervising the movement of dump trucks and doll carriages.

Tailless Breed Of Cat
Manx cat breeds were originally from the Isle of Man, off the coast of Great Britain, in the Irish Sea. The distinctive feature about this cat is that it does not have a tail, making it a unique breed of cat.
Manx – The Rounded Cat
These cats have round qualities, as they tend to have round faces, round bodies, round eyes, and can sometimes even be round pawed. The maturing of this cat takes place only very slowly, and they come in many patterns and colors.
Coat Of The Manx
A Manx cat has a thick coat which is actually a double coating, and thus it looks padded. The hair is very soft on the bottom coat, while the top coat is glossy. Their coat has to be brushed two or more times a week so that is stays shiny and glossy.
Body Structure Of Manx Cat Breed

The Manx has a solid compact body structure and is short backed with short and powerful legs to complement their rounded shape. Large headed and round, their nose is short and the widely spaced ears are set slightly outwards. They can weigh around eight to twelve pounds.

Different Types Of Manx Cat Breeds

These are the different types of Manx cat breeds…
1.       Rumpies – have no tails but just a dimple at the base of their spines.  These are the show cats of the Manx cat breeds.
2.       Stumpies – these are short tailed Manx cats and their friendly demeanor makes them ideal pets
3.       Tailies –  have naturally slightly kinked tails

Manx cats have a long lifespan as they can live up to fifteen years of age. The age factor in this breed of cat is known to be extended to twenty years with the best care and nutrition.
Manx cats don’t enjoy being left alone and prefer the company and attention of their owners. They get along well with other cats and children for this reason.

Characteristics...
This breed is definitely not for anyone who wants a beautiful, feline house ornament.  While a Manx can fulfill the beauty requirement, it will never be content to serve as a doorstop or a window decoration.

Vagary Ion
Characteristics of the foundation animals seen in the Manx breed today include a plush double coat; ears that are medium to medium small in size and are set far to the sides of the head (viewed from behind, the ears resemble the rocker on a cradle); and a roundish head slightly longer than it is wide, with a strong muzzle and chin, a sound, normal bite and prominent cheekbones.
All of these characteristics, combined with large eyes set so the outer corners are higher than the inner corners, give the Manx a look of gentle, serene intelligence.  That look, however, disguises the cat's true mischief-making self.  Manx are active, fun-loving cats that remain playful well into their later years.

Personality...
Some owners have suggested that Manx babies need to be sold with warning labels attached.  The owners know firsthand that love for the Manx can be contagious.  Many times, for example, a wife drags a disinterested husband along to a cattery to see a litter of Manx kittens.  The husband waits politely, obviously bored, while his wife selects a kitten.  A week or two later, the Manx breeder is amused when the wife calls to complain that the husband has been charmed by the beguiling Manx kitten, and now the wife needs another kitten so she can have one too!  (The Manx has been called, apparently correctly, the Man's cat that women love.)  As a result, few Manx-owning households contain only one Manx.

Vagary Gamine
The Manx kitten's fascination with water has surprised many a new owner who has found his or her little friend sitting in a bathtub or sink with water spray bouncing off its fur as though the kitten were meant to be a tub toy.  Don't let this mislead you to believe, however, that your Manx will enjoy a bath.  Like children who beg to play in the rain but must be forced to take baths, your little Manx will not have the same feeling about its bath water that it does about your bath water!
The Breed...
The Manx was one of the first breeds to be recognized for championship competition in the United States by all cat-registering bodies.  Considered unique from the beginning, the show Manx has evolved slowly.  Major changes in the standard related to body size and head shape have come and gone according to the needs or desires of Manx breeders at a particular time.  Most registering associations recognize the Manx in all colors except the Burmese and Siamese hues.  When choosing your Manx kitten, however, coat color should not be an important consideration.  Whether selecting a Manx for a companion animal only or for championship competition, the Manx look and personality are far more important considerations than the color.
Choosing...
As when selecting any companion animal, choose the person from whom you obtain your Manx with care.  All Manx kittens should come to you with health guarantees.  Any well-raised, properly handled Manx will adjust to your home with little effort.  Age is not an important factor unless you adopt a kitten that is too young and has not received enough nurturing from its mother.  A baby Manx receives its best education in the "catly arts" from its mother, not from you.

Vagary Kelly
The American-bred Manx of today is little changed from the natural mutation of yesterday.  Beneath the dense, hard, short double coat of the most magnificent of today's grand champion Manx beats the heart of the original mousetrap!
Yet this cat, with its lovely eyes, its wide-set ears and its serene, intelligent look, is capable of extreme gentleness  and will serve as a loving companion to young and old alike.  The Manx is both a pleasure to the eye and a comfort to the soul. What else could you ask of a companion animal?"

Hello my friends… ^^
This is my newest post in this month. Thank’s for keep visiting my blog.
The other cat I want to tell is Himalayan Cat.
Have you ever been seen this cutie ?

Yes.. Right ! This is a Himalayan Cat. Very cute isn’t it?x)
Himalayan cat are a gentle pet. Himalayan cats is cat with very long hair.
They have variety of color coats to include blue point, chocolate point, red, seal, cream, and lilac point, as well as tabby and tortoiseshell point.
The breed has a round body with short legs, so they can't jump as high as more slender, long- legged cats, but they can still jump about 7 feet into the air, which is still pretty high.
Himalayan cats are not only beautiful, but they are also very sweet, intelligent, and social cats. The breed is known for their calm and gentle nature, making them great indoor companions, but that doesn't mean you should ignore their playful side. Himalayan cats will run and play fetch with paper crumples or balls. These cats love to be groomed, but the feature that makes them even more favored among cat fanciers is that they are very affectionate.
Just be careful and have your Himalayan cat checked for the gene that causes Polycystic kidney disease. Generally, breeders will have their breeding cats tested before breeding in attempts to reduce the spread of the gene, but that doesn't mean that all breeders are responsible in spaying or neutering cats that have the gene.
Do you know? The Himalayan cat breed is a very popular breed of cat.As usual I will give you many photo of this cat,,enjoy it..

 Bye" .. :)
